Atraumatic Beveled Tracheal Suction Catheter – Sterile
The catheter allows for airway clearance in tracheostomized patients. The proximal end of the catheter must be connected to a syringe or suction device with a tip that ensures an airtight connection (vacuum stop) to aspirate secretions.
This catheter was developed by our team in collaboration with Raymond Poincaré Hospital to meet the needs of patients traumatized by standard PVC suction catheters, particularly for the pediatric department.
The catheter is inserted by sliding it into the tracheal cannula without trauma, thanks to the beveled tip and the combination of flexibility and rigidity of the latex, which allows easy gliding while maintaining good support.
Select the catheter diameter corresponding to the tracheostomy cannula: its external diameter must allow easy insertion through the cannula. This diameter is at most equal to half the internal diameter of the tracheal cannula.
Sterile latex catheter - beveled distal end - proximal end: conical cup.
