Esophageal pressure catheter
This catheter measures esophageal pressure to assess lung compliance.
It is used in respiratory function testing for transdiaphragmatic measurements.
Marketed since 1998, it was developed in collaboration with Professor Similowski and the Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital.
The thinness and texture of the balloon allow it to be easily inserted through the nose to reach the esophagus.
Polyethylene catheter with 1 latex balloon.
