Nasal Probe for NPD Determination – Sterile
This probe is intended to measure the nasal potential difference (NPD) at the inferior turbinate relative to a reference electrode.
This probe was developed by our team in collaboration with the cystic fibrosis research center at Necker Hospital.
This test helps to confirm or exclude a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. It can also be used as a tool to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments for respiratory involvement in cystic fibrosis.
One of the proximal connectors is connected to a measurement electrode.
The other connector is connected to a perfusion system.
• PVC probe, 2-way.
• Cylindrical distal end with 2 perfusion ports.
• Proximal end: 2 female Luer connectors.
• Centimeter graduation over 10 cm.
