Transit Time Measurement

Radiopaque Markers

Radiopaque markers allow measurement of Colonic Transit Time (CTT)

Monitoring of their progression is performed on plain abdominal radiographs (KUB).

Marker capsules are ingested every 24 hours at a fixed time for 6 consecutive days

Transit time is calculated on the 7th day using a KUB radiograph.

The markers are easily identifiable and quantifiable by their shape.

The measurement is objective where patient questioning is not always reliable.

CTT measurement of the three colonic segments (right colon, left colon, and rectosigmoid) and throughout the entire colon.

Available in 2 forms: cubic (C624C and C624-C6) and disc-shaped (C624R).

Marketed in blister packs of 6 capsules, each capsule containing 10 markers (ref. C624-C6 Transi-mark) or in sachets of 100 capsules (C624C or C624R)
